Dear APMP Colleagues, 


This year, our country is hosting the APMP Mid-Year Meetings in Bohol, Philippines. As the Director of the Department of Science and Technology – Industrial Technology Development Institute, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you!

This year's meeting promises to be an enriching experience, with a diverse agenda. Our mid-year meeting is a significant event that brings together experts, professionals, and stakeholders from across the Asia Pacific region to engage in meaningful discussions and tackle important issues on regulating and advancing metrology practices. It will also be an avenue to connect with colleagues, peers, and leaders to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and explore potential collaborations.

As the host country, the Philippines offers a unique and vibrant setting for our meeting. FAQ's

Our country is not eligible for visa-free travel to the Philippines. What do we need do?

Kindly contact the Philippine Embassy / Consulate Office in your country for the requirements to obtain visa. Once confirmed, email event host at nmlphil@itdi.dost.gov.ph to request needed documents such as official invitation letter, request letter to designated consular office, etc.

Processing of requested documents may require at least 7 to 14 days to be completed.

Our accommodation is not listed in the recommended hotels. How do we get to the meeting venue each day?

It is advised to take the daily shuttle service that will be available at designated locations. Please see TRANSPORTATION tab for details. Please be at the designated pick-up locations at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Shuttle schedule will be released at least 1 week before the event.

I want to join the Technical/Cultural tour but I chose “No” in the online registration form. Can I still participate in this activity?

You may still signify your interest in participating in the Technical/Cultural Tour by emailing the event host at nmlphil@itdi.dost.gov.ph. However, we cannot guarantee if slot/s will still be available by the time of request.

Can any of my family member/s join in the APMP Mid-Year Meetings Dinner or in the Technical/Cultural Tour?

We regret that only APMP delegates are invited to the dinner and tour.

Can you recommend nearby locations to visit after the meetings?

Delegates may visit the following locations of sight-seeing or dinner:


  • Moadto Strip Mall - a 2-level mall beside the Modala Beach Resort that offers an amazing beach front for sunset viewing, restaurants with various continental cuisines, and different shops for every need.

From Bellevue Resort: Ride a tricycle from the resort to Moadto Mall. Rate ranges from ₱50-₱100.



  • Alona Beach - a 1.5 kilometer stretch of white sand beach with various dine-in options to choose from. However, most establishments only accept cash payments. There are also more restaurants on the main road of the Alona Beach area. 

From Bellevue Resort: Ride a tricycle from the resort to Alona Beach. Rate ranges from ₱200-₱250.
